My name is Carson Joy Miller, and my blog is a story. I cannot promise a thickening plot, but problems for the protagonist are guaranteed. And also pictures. This will be no dry autobiography I assure it. My blog is a story of chasing life and seeing all the little joys it brings.

For those of you who read the small print, I will give you a little background on my life as of now. I am a sixteen year old with a habit of getting in over her head and dragging things out: sentences, conversations, trips to the convenience store. I grew up, scratch that, am growing up in small town Northwest Iowa with my proud-to-be-embarrassing parents and two brothers adored by all (all but seven-year-old me of course).

Now, with a diploma under my belt (aka: in a plastic tote in my storage room), I decided to start following my passions. I am currently living for six weeks in Amman, Jordan, studying at the Qasid Language Institute through the National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) Arabic scholarship. This fall, I will begin studies at the United World College-USA in New Mexico. I'm looking for experience, language, culture, and maybe a little character. Be joyful!
